Sunday Baking

Mommy and I decided to do some baking this weekend.

We made cookies and Apple Pie too!

I took all the apples out of the bag,

I helped sort out the apples while mommy peeled them

I inspected the apples to make sure they were good to use

And I helped mommy roll out the dough so she could put the pie all together

I told her when the oven was preheated (Beep, beep... Ready!)

Unfortunately Mommy and Daddy tried the pie after I was in bed.

My dessert was one of the cookies we made earlier in the day

Daddy said the pie was pretty good though... although not Quite the same as Nanny's

I guess mom has to try again....

Sleep Deprived

Something was wrong with me last night, but I'm not telling what.

I didn't want to sleep though. I woke up every hour to make sure the parentals knew this was the case.

I think I got to mommy.
She cried and begged me to sleep around 2:30 this morning.
She gave up when daddy came in and took over.
He took me to the spare room and we slept in the big bed together.

I've been kind of moody and tired today.
Maybe I will sleep better tonight.
If I feel better that is.....

Baking!!

Mommy decided we were going to make muffins Sunday night.

I decided I was going to help.

She got our aprons on and asked daddy to take some pictures of us.

Then he got silly and got us to stick out our tongues.

Mommy used her Christmas gift from Opa and Nana Maria.

I watched closely to make sure it was working properly!

Anyways, back to me. Mommy took this video while we were at the cottage this summer. They thought it was pretty cute and were impressed with my taste in music. I don't know, I was just being the usual cute me, groovin' like I always do!

My Friends are Turning 2!!

I went to a birthday party of my good friend on Saturday. Mommy had been prepping me all week and I was pretty excited to get there! I got all dressed up and everything, although I really didn't want to wear the skirt she picked out for me.

The party was a Backyardigans themed party

And we all got to try to Stick the Bowtie on Pablo!

I love playing on my friend's toys!

and giving her mommy hugs...

But I think we all enjoyed the cake!!!

I waited patiently for my piece....

Then dug right in!

But I didn't eat very much which surprised mommy

Happy Birthday A! I keep asking mommy to talk to your mommy so we can play again soon!

Over the holidays I was able to snap quite a few decent pictures of Little Miss hamming it up for all the family.

So I've realized that this blog has been mostly about the Little Miss and the family, and sometimes I need a place more for me. That being said, I've created a space that I will write about things that interest me, and see where and how it evolves as well!

Christmas... at last!

Alright, so I know I've been a little behind, but the holidays caught up with me, and now I'm finally getting around to organizing my pictures and being able to get some posted! I still have some on the computer that I keep forgetting to put on a jump drive so I can upload them here, but I will get to it!

Christmas Eve found us heading to Mississauga. Not too long into the drive, I was greeted with Silence from both my "children"

Once the munchkin woke up, we allowed her to open her Christmas Eve Gift. As kids we were always allowed to choose one gift to open on Christmas Eve. I chose her's this year, mainly for strategic purposes!

A "draw draw" board that erases and she can start over. She LOVES it!

The drive wasn't too painful thanks to the DVD player we borrowed from friends. We ended up receiving one of our own as a Christmas gift (Thank you Dad and Maria!!) and now Little Miss is always asking to watch Elmo in the car. It makes getting her into the car fairly easy as she knows she has to sit in her seat with her belt done up before Elmo will start. She will wave Byyyyyeeeeeee to anyone just so she can get into her seat to watch Elmo!! I think we are going to be sick of Elmo!!

Christmas day proved very exciting for the Little Miss. Once she got into the groove of opening presents, she wanted to open everyones gifts! She would go to the tree, pick up a gift, and ask "Mine?" thankfully, before ripping anything open though!

Being a good little Helper!

She was quite hilarious when opening gifts. She would rip a small piece of the paper off, then hand it over to you with an authoritative "ta-ta". Very funny and time consuming! Present opening lasted a good long time!

And of course, once she opened a gift she really liked, she had to play with it Right Then and There! Other gifts would sometimes have to wait until she had played enough with the one just opened!

She actually wore Elmo to open the rest of her gifts!

2010 Here we come...

I seem to have taken a holiday from blogging as well, and now that I'm back at it, I don't have the camera cable to upload new pictures.... doh. I will try to make it up to you tomrorow!

Now that we're back into the swing of things, I'm realizing that I have much to do already! The Little Miss will be TWO in only 52 days (but whose counting really). I can't believe how fast the past two years have flown by.

I told myself after last years big ONE celebration that I wouldn't go crazy this year, and I do want to tame things down a bit, but people are already asking when the party will be! Did I set a precedent last year? Do I have expectations to live up to in 2010? Sigh, and thus the worry planning begins!

Otherwise we've had a great holiday. We drove 1000km to visit all the family, and thank you to our neighbour for saving us on the way down and my dad on the way back. We borrowed then received our own Portable DVD player, so now all I have to say is "If you want to watch Elmo, you have to sit in your seat". Now I get to hear, "sit car, Elmo potty time" over and over again until she is strapped in. I can't complain though, as now she doesn't complain on hour 4 of the trip!

I have many cute stories to tell, but they need pictures, so for now, here is a cutie my friend Heather took while over for a cookie baking playdate before Christmas :)
